RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review immigration filings and track temporary restraining order (TRO) and other injunctive-relief deadlines
- Update local and division-wide deadlines and documents daily, as well as docket information
- Maintain databases/files and correspondence regarding immigration litigation compliance
- Prepare documentation pertinent to new, current, and closing immigration cases
- Communicate with agency staff regarding deadlines, data gathering and entry, and case details
- Assist with full case openings for immigration cases
- Provide additional clerical and litigation-support assistance as assigned
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of administrative and office support practices
- Ability to create, format, and manage documents and records
- Skill in data entry and strong attention to detail
REQUIRED BACKGROUND
At a minimum, the ideal applicant must have:
- Certificate or associate’s degree in office administration, paralegal studies, or a related field
- At least one (1) year of clerical, office, or administrative support experience
- Substitution: A bachelor’s degree may be used in place of the 1 year of experience
