RESPONSIBILITIES
I. Document Preparation & Scanning
- Prepare and organize physical documents for scanning (e.g., sorting, batching, removing bindings, and preparing files for processing)
- Operate industrial-grade scanners to convert paper records into digital format
- Perform scanning operations during swing shifts as needed to maximize scanner utilization
- Participate in government-provided training to learn FRP scanning, validation, and processing procedures
- Manage and organize scanned files for accuracy, structure, and completeness
- Execute file manipulations to properly format, label, and prepare scanned image files
- Transmit scanned files for secure upload into IRS AI platforms and case management systems
- Export completed files to external media for secure submission to the government
- Maintain secure storage, governance, and management of digital data assets
- Log new work assignments and requests into tracking and project management systems
- Conduct detailed quality checks on scanned images and processed files
- Collaborate with FRP Government staff on secondary quality reviews to validate determinations
- Proofread, correct, and validate processed data for accuracy and completeness
- Update daily scanning logs and processing metrics in accordance with government reporting requirements
- Attend meetings to review project schedules, process updates, and performance objectives
- Provide regular status reports to IRS leadership and contract management teams
- Coordinate with field office personnel on task priorities, scheduling, and workload management
- Support IRS program staff with documentation and reporting related to case processing and investigative file preparation
- Comply with IRS security, access, and annual IT training requirements to maintain system eligibility
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Knowledge of document scanning workflows
- Knowledge of digital file management
- Ability to follow established scanning, processing, and quality assurance procedures with precision and consistency
- Ability to maintain attention to detail over repetitive tasks while ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet daily/weekly processing quotas
- Ability to manage and safeguard sensitive data in compliance with privacy regulations
- Strong organization and communication skills
BACKGROUND
- Experience performing repetitive, task-oriented work with high attention to detail preferred
- Experience operating industrial-grade scanning equipment preferred
- Experience conducting quality control and data validation for scanned or processed records preferred
- Experience working in a government, legal, records management, or investigative support environment preferred
EDUCATION
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Undergraduate degree preferred
