ROLE

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform standard legal support job responsibilities
- Assist with pleadings, discovery, briefs, bankruptcy petitions, etc.
- Perform critical thinking and analytical activities
- Review legal instruments
- Verify that legal information is complete and accurate
- Confirm that legal information is ready for proper execution
- Assist attorneys and legal support staff
- Conduct legal research for cases
- Gather facts for cases and routine reports
- Use legal databases for research and discovery
- Evaluate and determine the correction of an action
- Research legal records to ascertain conditions that might preclude an action
- Help with scanning, exporting and importing data, etc.
- Perform initial review of petitions
- Support case management
- Maintain case files
- Prepare memorandums, reports and correspondence
- Take notes and prepare follow-on documentation
- Work with technologies such as but not limited to IPRO, CaseMap, QuickBooks, and Microsoft
BACKGROUND
- Progressive and relevant experience
EDUCATION
- Paralegal Certificate
- Strong preference for an Associate degree or some college education
- Preference for Bachelor’s degree

TELEWORK
- Up to two (2) days per week
CLEARANCE
- U.S. citizenship required since this role supports the U.S. federal government
